Administration at the Institute is headed by Director followed
by hierarchy of Deputy Directors ( Sr.Grade), Deputy Directors,
Assistant Directors and so on. Actual implementation of decisions
is routed through following groups i) Accounts ii) General
Administration (Establishment, Budget, Stores & Maintenance)
& iii) Director’s Secretariat
- General Administration : This office is headed
by an Administrative Officer Further, this office is divided
into different sections such as, establishment, budget,
stores & maintenance. The staffing pattern is the same as
in the central government i.e. Section Officers, Office
Assistants, Upper Division Clerks & Lower Division Clerks.
- Accounts : This Unit is headed by an Accounts
Officer and is supported by a number of assistants who deal
with various aspects of the account procedures.
- Director’s Secretariat : This has Personal Secretary,
Personal Assistants & Stenographers. This unit handles the
conductivity of administrative machinery from Director to
scientists, technical groups, maintenance and other sections
as well as the units of accounts and general administration.
